What we do

Services

Quality inspections of fresh fruit and vegetables on arrival, with reports you can act on the same day.

Arrival inspections

Sea, air and land

We inspect fresh fruit and vegetables when they arrive: reefer containers at the port, air freight at the airport, and trucks coming in over land.

An inspection can be organised by category, commodity, count or grower, and we add any specific quality parameters you ask for.

What an inspection covers

Depending on the commodity, reports include:

  • Firmness (pressure readings)
  • Net weight
  • Brix (sugar content)
  • External quality: defects, blemishes, packaging
  • Internal quality: pulp condition, internal defects
  • Expected shelf life

Where relevant we also record pulp temperature, the condition of pallets and boxes, labelling (variety, class, country of origin) and temperature-recorder readings.

We follow industry standards and good practice so results are consistent from one inspection to the next. If the shipper and consignee have agreed their own specification, we inspect against that.

Reports with photos, ready to forward

Every inspection is recorded digitally and backed by photos of the product. You receive a report within 24 hours that sets out the condition of the shipment, the measurements and a clear summary.

Reports reach you through the client portal or by email. In the portal you can also export the data to Excel.
